Terms and Conditions

By booking any work and/or goods, or by accepting an estimate, the customer is deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

  • The customer confirms that they are the legal owner of the caravan, motorhome, or trailer and that they are over 18 years of age.
  • The customer acknowledges that they have not relied on any statement, promise, or representation made by or on behalf of Yates Caravans Ltd (“YC”) other than those set out in writing.
  • The customer must remove all valuables from the caravan, motorhome, or trailer prior to the commencement of work. YC shall not be held responsible for the loss of or damage to such items.
  • YC shall not be responsible for any unforeseeable losses or losses not caused by the negligence of YC, its employees, agents, or representatives. In such circumstances, the customer must rely on their own insurance.
  • YC shall not be liable for any loss or deemed to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions due to any delay in carrying out the work or any inability to complete the work within the estimated timescale.
  • YC may provide an estimate for work and/or goods based on the information supplied by the customer at the time. Estimates are valid for seven (7) days from the date of issue unless withdrawn by YC.
  • YC reserves the right to amend an estimate where reasonably necessary or where costs to YC change significantly due to circumstances beyond its control. If additional work is required that has not been previously agreed, YC will endeavour to contact the customer to obtain authorisation (written or verbal) before proceeding.
  • If, during servicing or remedial work, a serious fault is discovered that poses a safety risk (including but not limited to gas or electrical faults, ineffective handbrakes, or unsafe tyres), YC will endeavour to contact the customer. Where the customer cannot be contacted, YC reserves the right to carry out any necessary repairs to eliminate the danger. All costs incurred shall be the responsibility of the customer.
  • If work cannot be completed in full due to the customer’s instructions or circumstances beyond YC’s control, the customer will be charged for all work completed at the standard hourly rate, together with the cost of any goods supplied or used.
  • Where goods have been specifically ordered for the customer and paid for, a 20% return charge will apply should the customer decide not to use the parts ordered.
  • YC reserves the right to refuse the fitting of refurbished or second-hand parts.
  • Payment for all goods and/or work carried out is due upon presentation of the invoice or upon completion of the work. Ownership of goods shall not pass to the customer until YC has received full cleared payment.
  • Outstanding invoices that remain unpaid for 28 days or more will incur an additional charge of £25 per month.
  • YC reserves the right to refuse to carry out work and/or supply goods without providing a reason.
  • Customers with complaints regarding work and/or goods supplied by YC should contact YC in the first instance. YC will investigate the matter in accordance with Yates Caravans Ltd’s Complaints Policy.
